Subject: Difference between sample documents and a test suite
I had some thoughts on this last night:Sample documents are created to help people understand the capabilities of an architecture or product. They are designed to illuminate how something works and give people a clear understanding of what it can do.
A test suite is created to test compliance with an architecture or a set of criteria. They are designed to step products through test cases and uncover bugs and weaknesses.
So, the two items have very different audiences and purposes. As a TC, I think we would be better off trying to focus on sample documents -- DITA source files -- which would help people understand the capabilities of the architecture.
