Subject: Overall Impressions/Concerns that Arose from DITA Listening Sessions
Prior to our meeting later today, I thought I ought to share my initial impressions and the concerns about the future of DITA that were expressed by the participants. These are the section titles for the blog post I am currently working on:
- Madcap Flare is a Common Stepping Stone to DITA
- Confusion Between the Relationship Between DITA and the DITA-OT - Strong Desire to Build Community and Share Information/Tools - Need More Information on DITA 1.3 (particularly relating to its advantages and why one would want to move to it) - Transition from conrefs to keys is a Real Problem (for mature DITA users) - Concern that DITA is Not Meeting Current and Near-future Needs - Significant Interest in Lightweight DITA Am currently developing this as a blog post, though it can also be an article for the Adoption Committee.
For Stanley and other participants: are there any *key* points I am missing out on?
Also, I have submitted my extensive notes from the last session to Stanley so that he can add his own. Hopefully that will be available to all soon.
Cheers!
