I sent each of you an email inviting you to join the new DITA User Forums site. The site is a Discourse site that could use some branding and will soon move to ditaforums.xml.org. When the new subdomain is live, we'll open it up for public use.
Although this plan has been under way for a while now, this is the first some of you have heard of it. The original plan A was to host it ourselves and save a few bucks. Plan B, having the folks who make Discourse host it for us, is now plan A. Either way, the site is here to stay. I will be soliciting support from vendors at the Denver conference, and Keith is working on setting up a Patreon account that will be linked to the site.
In the short term, I would welcome advice setting up categories and would likewise welcome anyone who is interested in the role of moderator. For now, I'm the administrator; we'll get one more from the Adoption TC but that will probably be it.
Please share this email with others who would be interested in getting involved before the public launch.
