Subject: DITA-fied Version of the "Elements of Style" on GitHub

Hello there:

I have just posted a complete version of William Strunk's original Elements of Style from 1920 to GitHub as a set of DITA files. It is written using DITA 1.3, and features:

  • a separate keystore file providing examples of how to use keyrefs for holding the names of publishers, and for links to the various "rules" contained in the document
  • sample DITA 1.3 glossary and associated glossentry topics

As it is a style guide, am hoping that people will also feel free to "borrow" what they want of this for their own internal writing style guides that they find useful. (A lot of the stuff is archaic, and written more for an audience of early-20th century essay writers than for early 21st century technical writers).

Stan: feel free to add this to your list of DITA samples.

Cheers!
