I am Oracle Applications' DTD architect and lead XSLT developer.

I've spent the past 5 years or so developing a content-based variant of DocBook based on a thorough document analysis, converting our legacy Interleaf documents to it, and implementing its outputs via XSLT in an Arbortext editing, content-management, and publishing environment.

Now that a content-based DTD development and standardization effort is underway in the industry under the DITA rubric, we'd like to lend our expertise and experience to the project.
