Subject: Re: [dita-comment] Font issues with DITA 1.2 specifications
Hi Susan, There is a much more recent draft (June 22) located here: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=38400&wg_abbrev=dita I'm not sure what font it uses, but it may have changed since the draft you looked at - I think we are now using fonts that are required by OASIS as part of their template for standards. The squeezed text in the language specification should now be fixed - we did some work on that specific item last week. So, hopefully the latest internal draft is better on both counts. The DITA 1.0 and DITA 1.1 specifications used a much more eye-friendly Times Roman type font. There are also problems with the text in table columns in the language specification being horizontally squeezed together to fit the column to the point of almost being unreadable. I sincerely hope that the final released versions of the specifications are easier to read. Having visual barriers to comprehension does not help in training people or in fostering DITA adoption.
