Thank you!! In fact, I thought the opposite – that <keyword> had some specific semantic meaning that I would be *disrespecting* as a general-purpose variable reference throughout our documentation.

You can use <keyword> within <uicontrol>. The <keyword> element also is a more semantically correct choice.
