Hi,
You get my "yes" vote on both
of these, too.
In fact, my IBM colleagues Erik Hennum,
Robert Anderson, and I did some work related to processing DITA content
to Slidy, and presented on this at the XML 2006 and CMS 2007 conferences,
both in Boston. In those presentations, we explored the potential
for applying a "style policies" approach to DITA content.
I posted the html for the CMS 2007 presentation
on our SC OASIS documents pages - http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/dita-learningspec/download.php/27852/cms_2007_prop_policies.zip.
Unfortunately, we never did get to progress
the work beyond those two presentations, so we don't have any DITA processing
or other details to share at this time.
However, we definitely did get to the
point where we demonstrated some real strong potential for the use of DITA
+ Slidy for effective presentations.

I love the idea. I think something
like Slidy is a definite plus to have in out OTK plugin and fully support
working this in.

Subject: [dita-learningspec] Additional DITA Learning Plug-in Support
- Output Formats
Greetings:
I’d like to solicit additional comments
and requirements for the suggestion I made a couple meetings ago regarding
additional output types from our Learning Specialization OTK plug-in.
Just as a refresher I suggested 2 additional
outputs I’d like to see us achieve:
1.
Some form of “PowerPoint
like” slides for classroom usage.
2.
Some type of landscape,
slide like orientation for classroom handouts.
Scott Hudson suggested Dave Raggett’s
HTML Slidy as nice way to give us “PowerPoint like” slides.
Any other suggestions or thoughts on the
subject?
