Chris, Eliot, John, Briana, and Troy attended. Chuck and Sowmya sent regrets.

Troy reviewed the place of the Open University (OU) transform in the samples project and indicated that the mileststones have been updated to reflect Chruck and Eliot's work (see agenda).

Eliot demonstrated his "simple" ou2dita.xsl transform (simple for him). :-)

The transform inputs an OU XML file and outputs a Learning and Training XML hiearchy of topics.

We can now use this transform to take any OU courseware to generate an L&T equivalent. 

Troy pointed out that we can use the transform as a basis for generating quick sample content, which we can then finesse for public consumption, for instance, changing file names for easy perusal on a file system.

At a later stage of our samples project, the workgroup should follow up with OU about the transform work. Troy pointed out that there is a potential here for a spin-off OU-related project with more subsequent transform work, but wanted our current focus to stay on the samples.

John will run the ou2dita.xsl transform on some potential sample candidates and report at the next workgroup meeting.
