Subject: Review #2 comments: Learning & training portion of the archSpec

There are some review comments that Robert and I cannot handle. They concern the organization of the learning & training portion of the architectural spec, specifically the following sections:
  • Learning2 domain: http://ditaweb.com/oasis-dita/#/00074601-DA$00074552-DB$Learning2 domain
    • Comment by John Hunt: "We need to present these so that they're organized around the 7 top-level question types, then the support elements. This alpha list is not very useful. See the org used for learning interaction base domain elements for the learning(1) domain. And then we list out separately the common interactions elements."
    • Response by Robert Anderson: "Kris and I don't know how to make this change - hoping you or somebody else on the TC can reorganize better, otherwise it will stay as is."

  • Common topic elements: http://ditaweb.com/oasis-dita/#/00074601-DA$00073720-DB$Common topic elements
    • Comment by John Hunt: "General commeont on these Common topic elements - I don't see how anyone will know to what topic and in what structure they're intended to be used. This needs to be looked at closely."
    • Response by Robert Anderson: "Referring to TC for help - L&T subcommittee needs to provide input on how to reorganize, we're not sure how to improve. The current organization matches DITA 1.2 organization, except that the titles of each group have been very slightly tweaked."
John, we'll look to you and the Learning & Training subcommittee to perform any rewriting or reorganization for these sections. We'll bring it up at the TC meeting on 4 November 2014.

Best,
Kris
