Subject: Report on multiple classes for MDITA headers

Dear people,

Reporting on my homework to investigate the inclusion of several ids and classes in Markdown for possible MDITA specialization based on Michael’s XDITA template project.

In Markdown Extra and Pandoc, the following header is valid:

## To dos {.todos .sequence .example}

Transformed with Pandoc to HTML, it generates the following:

<h2 id="to-dos" class="todos sequence example">To dos</h2>

In Jarno's plugin, it generates a section:

<div class="example todos sequence”>

So, there is potential for adapting the XDITA specialization idea to MDITA. One major limitation, of course, is that no decent Markdown flavor allows identifiers in paragraphs.

That’s all we have.

Best,

Carlos
