On Behalf Of Carlos Evia Dear LwDITA SC colleagues, Michael and I were talking last week and I asked him if it would be a good idea to create a taskforce to address syntax questions and doubts related to LwDITA's three flavors/modes. You probably remember our discussion about HDITA's custom HTML attributes (we do not have a solution yet), and there are similar questions about XDITA (do we need the example element? What goes inside a LwDITA prolog?) and MDITA (Radu Coravu,
Jarno Elovirta, and I have an online discussion about tagging DITA-like elements in Markdown). These are important questions, but probably not for the whole subcommittee to address. Therefore, if you are interested in syntax issues for LwDITA, would you join me in a few conference calls to complete and improve our LwDITA mappings? I promised Michael we will keep him informed and bring back our ideas and plans to the
subcommittee for discussion. Email me if you are interested and we can schedule a time and day for the calls. Thanks a lot, Carlos --- Carlos Evia, Ph.D. Director of Professional and Technical Writing Associate Professor of Technical Communication Department of English Center for Human-Computer Interaction Virginia Tech Blacksburg, VA 24061-0112 (540)200-8201 |
