Carlos, we'd be delighted to have you on the TC call 1 November.
Here is the sort of info that we need:
- Drivers for LWDITA
- Planned element and attribute set, including any new elements
and attributes
- Grammar files: Are they planned to be delivered as DTDs? RNG?
XSD?
- Specialization model, especially plans for developing
specializations from a DITA topic that contains the necessary
metadata
- Tooling planned to develop grammar files from a LWDITA topic
template:
- Is this planned to be a reference implementation?
- What sort of grammar files will be produced: DTD, XSD, or
RNG?
- Will the generated grammar files be modular or monolithic?
- Will the generated grammar files contain specialization
hierarchy?
TC members, please add to this list if there are other items that
you think important.
If there are materials for which you want screen sharing, please
send me them before the call so that I can present them if you are
unable to share your screen.
Regarding the drivers, since there will be a subcommittee meeting on
31 October, perhaps subcommittee members can consider the same
questions that I posed to the TC:
- How would you rank these different drivers? Are some more
important to you than others?
- Do you think that Lightweight DITA might be delivered in
phases? If so, what would you want to see first?
- Do you think that some of these drivers affect each other? Or
be in conflict with each other? If so, how can that be
mitigated?
Best,
Kris

Kris and all,
I think the LwDITA SC is already working on all of these
identified drivers. Of course, some are (way) more advanced
than others.
Would it help if I join the main TC call 11/01 and update
on our work and plans? I can have my students work on the
projects (surprise: they will be working on LwDITA topics that
day) while I join the call.
Best,
Carlos
