OASIS DITA TC Members:

The OASIS press release announcing DITA as an OASIS Standard is
scheduled for Wednesday, 1 June; the deadline for sponsor quotes was
Friday, 27 May. So far, I have received sponsor quotes from Arbortext and Nokia.

If you represent an OASIS Foundational Sponsor or Sponsor, and you are
still interested in providing a quote, please contact me via
email before noon Tuesday, 31 May. If you represent a Contributor and
would like to upgrade and be recognized for your participation
in the development of DITA, please contact
scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org immediately.

OASIS Members:

The Consortium is in the process of drafting a press release to
announce the approval of DITA as an OASIS Standard.  We have
targeted Wednesday, 1 June, for distribution.

While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members to our
technical work, only Foundational Sponsors and Sponsor
members elect to receive promotional benefits, such as inclusion in
announcements directed to the press.

The DITA OASIS Standard press release, therefore, will feature the
following statement:

"DITA was developed by members of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee,
which includes representatives of Arbortext, BMC Software,
IBM, Innodata, Intel, Nokia, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, the US
Department of Defense, and others."

*Any* Sponsor member of OASIS may submit a quote in support of DITA's
approval as an OASIS Standard--you do not have to be a member
of the OASIS DITA TC. If you represent a Foundational Sponsor or
Sponsor member of OASIS, and you would like to send a quote, please
email that to me, including a name and title at your company to whom
the quote can be attributed.

If your organization is not a Sponsor member of OASIS, and you would
like to submit a quote for this press release, please contact
Scott McGrath (scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) immediately for
information on upgrading your membership to take advantage of this
promotional benefit.
