Subject: Groups - Action Item Modified: #0018 Ask Mary McRae for clarification...
OASIS Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) TC member, Don Day has modified this action item. Number: #0018 Description: Ask Mary McRae for clarification... Owner: Don Day Status: Closed Due: 06 Sep 2005 Comments: Don Day 2005-08-23 06:02 GMT Status, Monday Aug 22--sent note to Mary Don Day 2005-10-18 04:22 GMT Mary's Response, Aug 23 2005: Hi Don, According to the TC Process, quorum is defined as follows: "Quorum" is the number of Voting Members of a TC that must be present in a meeting so that Resolutions and decisions may be made. The Quorum for OASIS TC meetings is a simple majority (more than half) of Voting Members. 50% isn't more than half. I'm interested in learning if the change in the voting rights rule has had any impact on this. On the other hand, it's summer and lots of people are on vacation. I think in general TCs have a harder time reaching quorum during July/August.
