Subject: Re: [dita] question regarding book numbering in DITA/DocBook
For some additional follow-up: DocBook has also added biblioid and citebiblioid with a class attribute in bookinfo (and other info elements/classes). The legal values of this attribute will be: doi, isbn, isrn, issn, libraryofcongress, other, pubnumber, uri. The elements isbn, issn, and pubnumber are deprecated, and will be removed in 6.0. I think there should be an abstract identifier element in DITA as a child of bookmeta (and other meta elements), to track this kind of information in a similar fashion.
