Subject: RE: [dita] RE: DITA 1.2 Specification Review Assignments
If someone wants to create the appropriate set of XML pages I’ll
be happy to upload them to docs.oasis-open.org at the following URIs: http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.2/wd/langspec/ http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.2/wd/archspec/ You could then hypertext link directly to the pages or within
pages with internal refs. Mary From: Ogden, Jeff
[mailto:jogden@ptc.com] Take
a look at the .zip files for the draft language spec. sections. In particular
look at the versions that are organized by type (ditaref-type.chm or
langspectocjs/type).
Things are already divided up. And as we pull together the architectural spec
and combined architecture and language spec documents we’ll continue to follow
this approach. But
I need to focus on writing/updating the architectural spec portions of the
documents now and so I don’t have a lot of time to work on organizing them for
review. Someone else may have time to do that. And,
if we had a web site that would allow it, we could install the documents as Web
pages for review. I don’t think the OASIS DITA TC Web site is flexible
enough to allow that, but perhaps I am mistaken.
-Jeff From: JoAnn Hackos
[mailto:joann.hackos@comtech-serv.com] Could you divide spec into sub DITA maps so that we can work with
one section at a time? JoAnn JoAnn T. Hackos, PhD www.comtech-serv.com From: Ogden, Jeff
[mailto:jogden@ptc.com] Not easily right now. The draft versions of the spec are all
in .zip files on the OASIS DITA TC site and I don’t think there is any easy way
to link to individual files within the .zip. -Jeff From: JoAnn Hackos
[mailto:joann.hackos@comtech-serv.com] Jeff, Would it be possible to put links to the appropriate sections of
the specification on the “reviewer” page? Would make it easier to get to the
sections we would like to review. JoAnn JoAnn T. Hackos, PhD www.comtech-serv.com From: Ogden, Jeff
[mailto:jogden@ptc.com] This Wiki page has been updated to include the tentative review
schedule and information on where to send review comments and questions. http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/Draft_DITA_1.2_Specification_Review_Assignments Those of you who signed up to review sections of the language
reference portions of the specification documents can start your reviews now. We still need a few more volunteer reviewers. Sign up by
editing the Wiki page or send e-mail to me. -Jeff From: Ogden, Jeff The
DITA 1.2 Specification Review Assignments page on the DITA TC Wiki has been
updated:
http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/Draft_DITA_1.2_Specification_Review_Assignments Take a look and let me know if I didn’t put you down for a section
that you volunteered to review or if I put you down for a section that you
don’t want to review. We still need volunteers for several sections and, ideally, we’d
like to have more than one reviewer for most sections. -Jeff From: Ogden, Jeff No one has signed up to be a reviewer of sections of the DITA 1.2
spec. I’ve had one report that an attempt to edit the Wiki page was
refused with a message about not having access, although Don was able to edit
the page last week. Are others having problems editing this page? If you can’t edit the Wiki page directly, but want to sign up as a
reviewer or a user of one or more sections of the DITA 1.2 spec., feel free to
send me e-mail telling me which sections and I’ll add you to the list. -Jeff From: Ogden, Jeff Please
take a look at the DITA 1.2 Specification Review Assignments page under Working
Documents on the DITA TC Wiki:
http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/Draft_DITA_1.2_Specification_Review_Assignments
You’ll
find a list of the documents we plan to include in the DITA 1.2 Specification. I
expect that we’ll discuss the list at least briefly during today’s DITA TC
call. We
are looking for volunteers to review specific sections of the documents as they
become available. We
are also looking for volunteers who will use each of the features as they
become available. Reviewers
and users can, but don’t have to be the same person. Ideally
we’d like at least two reviewers and two users for each section/feature. More
would be fine. If
you are able to volunteer, please edit the Wiki page and add your name to the
appropriate cells of the tables. Or send e-mail to me (jogden@ptc.com) indicating the sections you
want to review or use and I’ll update the Wiki page.
