Subject: RE: [dita] Incorrect xref in DITA spec source files

We cannot. OASIS has new rules and we cannot touch ANYTHING. We plan to issue an errata in 4-6 months and we can fix it then.

Hi Kristen,

Can this be somehow done for DITA 1.2 itself. I was thinking so because, it is an issue of spec itself not following the standard.

It’s just a small change in the spec source files only. No change in DTD/Schema. I am not sure but may be we can also leave the output spec (i.e. PDF, HTML, etc) untouched.

Hi, Tarun.

I’ll add this to the list of items to fix for DITA 1.3.

The following files contain external cross-references, but the @scope is not set appropriately as “external”:

-          <spec_files_unzipped>/introduction/non-normative-references.dita

-          <spec_files_unzipped>/introduction/normative-references.dita
