Dear Don and Kristen,
Don first: I hear you're stepping down after many years of inspired 
chairmanship on the DITA TC. Thank you for helping make DITA one of the 
important standards in the authoring world. In our line of work it's 
easy to forget that what we do is transformational: we get tired of 
those eyes glazing over when we try to communicate our enthusiasm about 
standards and interoperability, and why it matters so much. The truth 
remains that without the tireless efforts of standards proponents, the 
world would remain a Tower of Babel and very little would or even could 
get done.
Kristen: thank you for stepping in and carrying the torch forward.
OASIS Staff deeply appreciates your commitment and what you've already
