Subject: Re: [dita] Educational background of voting members of the TC

I have an Associates degree in Electronics Technology and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I also spent 17 years as a technical writer with AT&T and its descendants.

Best Regards,
Bob Thomas

Folks, recently someone commented that DITA (and XML in general) is not useful for technical authors because it is developed by mathematicians and computer scientists.

That made me wonder about the education background of voting members of the TC. As far as I know, quite a few of us have background in the humanities:

Anderson
Bissantz
Day: English and Journalism
Doherty: English
Eberlein: History
Hackos: English
Hamilton
Harrison
Helfinstine
Hudson
Kimber
Magliery
Myers
Nitchie
Priestley: Drama
