Subject: Fw: Looking at Redesigning Hazard Statement Domain for DITA 2.0
This is the response I got from Jang about the Hazard Statement Domain last week.
I suggest we stick a pin in the original proposal and use it as a placeholder under he comes up the full, new proposal he has promised to deliver.
Cheers! -

I will write an initial proposal, which I can present to the TC on one of the upcoming calls. I do need a little time to make this a good proposal, not the half-hearted one that was concocted for the current hazardstatement element. Safety is a huge deal
in machine industry, so the domain needs to cover all common use cases in a way that meets the requirements of the various safety-related standards. I have good connections to a number of CE safety specialists, whom I can ask for feedback in the second stage,
where the markup is going to be defined.
Ciao from Amsterdam
