Subject: Re: <fallback> (was Re: [dita] Updated status of DITAweb review of multimedia domain -- Deadline 05 August 2019)

Sure, but the multimedia domain is intended to be compatible with DITA 1.3, no? And we will publish the multimedia domain as a committee note? Or is this review specific to the DITA 2.0 spec?

Hi, Alan.

<fallback> is not in DITA 1.3.

It is in DITA 2.0, but in the base -- not part of the multimedia domain.

Look in the PDFs of the DITA 2.0 draft spec.

Best,
Kris

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I see no mention of <fallback> in the 1.3 spec w/errata. Nor does it appear in the "All DITA elements, A to Z" topic --

This observation motivated my DITAweb comment.
