"DITA where art thou?" at Adobe DITA World

I'm reprising the session that I gave at ConVEX for Adobe DITA World 2020 this Thursday, 08 October 2020 at 6 PM ET.

"DITA, where art thou? A retrospective from the OASIS DITA Technical Committee"
Itâs been 15 years since DITA was donated to OASIS, and this May was the 15th anniversary of DITAâs release as a standard. DITA is no longer a âshiny, new thingâ but instead a mature XML architecture.

Weâll consider the following questions:

• What is DITA (Hint: An architecture, not a tool or solution) and what is the difference between DITA and DITA Open Toolkit?
• What business problems was DITA designed to address?
• How has DITA addressed the problems that it was designed to solve?
• What new problems have emerged?
• How is the landscape different in 2020 than it was in 2004?
  

I'll attach a PDF of the slide deck from ConVEx. Obviously, the audience here is different, and I'd welcome any thoughts about how best to modify the presentation. FYI, Adobe added the tag "A retrospective from the OASIS DITA Technical Committee" to the session title.
