I suggest we remove it. How about an appendix or some other location with a table that maps the DITA elements to their equivalent DC elements, where relevant? This way if anyone is interested, that information is available, while our spec topics are clean and brief. Specifically, the "Usage information" sections in several element-reference topics mention what elements in Dublin Core are equivalent. We did not come to a conclusion about removing or keeping this information. There was general acknowledgement that while Dublin Core was hot and trendy during the initial development of DITA, it is not so much anymore.
