7. DITA 2.0 stage three proposals
8. Review O: Accessibility
- Discussion of experience using Content Fusion
- Eliot: Worked fine. Missed being able to associate comments to specific text.
- Gershon: Would have preferred to use native comments, but not a big deal
- Robert: Took a little getting used to.
- Kris: Bringing comments into content in Oxygen not as smooth as would like but made it work.
- Kris: Requires switching between two branches in github to resolve comments, one for the comments and the main development branch.
- Eliot: git work tree feature might help in working with two branches at the same time (https://git-scm.com/docs/git-worktree)
- Scott: Syncro Soft asking for more detailed requirements around review stats. Scott will follow up with Kris.
- Scott: Found an issue with Syncro-provided transform and nested comments when trying to generate formatted view of the review content (using Chemistry-based PDF generation)
- Robert: Reviewed the comments generally: lots of useful comments, some drafting issues need to be corrected.
- Kris: Need volunteers to author some examples and such.
- Keith: Volunteering for image map example, example topics for simple tables and accessibility (see Volunteer Tasks wiki page)
9. Volunteer tasks
- Review the page: https://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/volunteerTasks
- Keep it up to date as you accept or complete tasks
10. DITA 1.x to 2.0 migration work
- Eliot: Will reach out to Zoe to start planning the work in earnest.
- Kris: New wiki page to track and organize the tasks: https://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/migratingToDITA2.0
- Zoe: Will take action to review history and status of where we are with older migration tasks
11. Recruiting companies and people to the DITA TC
- Kris: Met with Avalara. Wheels turn slowly
- Kris: Reached out to HPE, still waiting for approval from primary HPE OASIS rep
- Gershon: Talking internally at Precision Content to see if more people want to be involved with appropriate management support for dedicating time.
Meeting adjourned at 11:45 EDT so that reviewers of stage three proposal #647 could use 15 minutes of time.
