9. Review G: xNAL domain
Opening of review:
https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dita/202303/msg00005.html (Eberlein, 07 March 2023)
Kris; we had no participation in this review; unless we decide to remove this from spec, we need to review it.
[Dawn, Keith, Nancy, Robert, Tammy, & maybe Eliot will review]
- Robert; as we mentioned, there's an issue with the page count of PDF version of the spec; we've been dinged on it often. and examples are a big part of that. And since XNAL isn't heavily used, not a lot of interest, 20 pages of examples for it are ridiculous. So it's a prime candidate for having a single large example that's linked to by others.
- Eliot; I agree with that.
- Kris; is this a situation where we should have all examples point back to one big one., or a couple of smaller ones with links from other topic?
- Robert; probably a couple of smaller ones; ome each for person, organization, and authorinfo. You could make a case for addressdetails, but I'm not sure that's really helpful.
- Kris; so 3; author, person, organization.
- Robert; another option is to take the domain out of the spec and just put it in supplementary info. It has some usage, but it's pretty verbose; it just follows the XNAL spec.
- Kris; it's somewhat of a glaring outlier. Dawn, do you have any clients using it?
- Dawn; not that I know of.
- Kris; I can check on dita-users to see if anyone's using it; removing it is one option.

10. Stan's comments about troubleshooting

***ActionItem; Kris will check on Stan's transition from individual to Google OASIS membership.
