DOCBOOK-APPS: Which XML/XSL processor? (Xalan vs. FOP vs. Saxon vs.???)

In looking into the issue of using XSL for formatting DocBook docs,
I find some confusion as to which of the various tools I should 
consider using... so... any recommendations?
