But if the server returns a 'File Not Found' then the request must be malformed, somehow. Interestingly enough, one reads at http://www.jclark.com/sp/sysid.htm that "Only the http scheme is currently supported and not on all systems." If among the "not on" systems one finds NetBSD that would explain things, including the omission of the '--enable-http' configure arg in the Makefile that creates NetBSD's jade package.
