Subject: Re: DOCBOOK-APPS: sealing violation?
/ Dave Pawson <daveP@dpawson.freeserve.co.uk> was heard to say: | win2000, saxon 6.22, 1.42 stylesheets. | | Error reported: | | I:>java -cp \sgml\files;\myjava\saxon622.jar;\sgml\nw\docbook\xsl | \extensions\saxon61.jar com.icl.saxon.StyleSheet -o tmp.fo file.xml \ | \sgml\xsl\book\mybook.xsl "saxon.extensions=1" | Exception in thread "main" java.lang.SecurityException: sealing violation [...] | Anyone any clues please? I forget the correct technical jargon for this, but it boils down to a problem with your class path. You have two versions of a class (probably buried in two different jars on your classpath) and one of the jar files has been "sealed" (meaning roughly that if it contains a definition for a class, that definition must be used). But the other definition must be first on your path so a "sealing violation" has occurred. (And I strongly encourage you to move to Saxon 6.4.3 as V6.2.2 has the ugly include/import bug.) Be seeing you, norm -- Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> | All knowledge is of itself of some http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ | value. There is nothing so minute Chair, DocBook Technical Committee | or inconsiderable, that I would | not rather know it than not.--Dr. | Johnson
