Subject: Re: DOCBOOK-APPS: Re: xalan-j performance
Hi All, I have my xsl locally and point to them locally too (that is: at least I think so, I will test thoroughly this weekend, also with the brandnew saxon.). For various reasons I would like to limit myself to Xalan and/or Saxon for both platforms.(win/linux/solaris maybe too) For the xsl stylesheets for the web I plan to use saxon only, fast on windows, fast enough, when I can improve my java settings, on linux. For other transformations I would like to stick to xalan, because other software I use has xalan/xerxes built in, and when testing these transformations I would like to be sure they behave exactly the same when called from the other software. I might do testing on Win and Linux and maybe on Solaris too... Thanks for your input, Gerrit Kuilder Norman Walsh wrote: > / Gerrit Kuilder <gkuilder@portalyx.com> was heard to say: > | Saxon seems faster indeed, now I need to find some ways to optimize > | my java performance, It takes about 10 seconds before the > | transformation takes place.
