I was working on a Perl reference for ActiveState last year and had originally planned on using MIF as the output format to generate camera ready copy. Fortunately for me, Paul Prescod was also working there at the time, and said that (1) he was the maintainer for Jade's MIF backend, and (2) it wasn't really being maintained, nor was it very complete. (ISTR tables not being supported properly; never having used FrameMaker, I can't tell whether this is true.) Z.
