Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: multilanguage Website
Hello there! I wonder what is the best approach to organize multilanguage website on Website 2.0 ? I'd prefer to keep 1 multilanguage document for each page. My first guess was to double each element I want to be multilanguage, e.g. <para lang="en">english text</para> <para lang="ru">russian text</para> but I'm afraid it's not robust solution because of possible DTD constraints on element occurences, so I'd better choose something like <para> <some-element-with-lang-meaning-only lang="en"> english text </some-element-with-lang-meaning-only> </para> Next I can filter language-specific elements by <xsl:template match="*[@lang]"> <xsl:if test="@lang = $lang"> <xsl:apply-imports/> ... Is there sense at all and if so, which docbook element is better for encapsulating language-specific content ? -- Oleg Tkachenko Multiconn International, Israel
