DOCBOOK-APPS: Editors and IDREFs

Hi all,

In FM+SGML you can select IDREFs from a list of IDs of a particular element.
Does somebody know any XML environment with real good support for
cross-references? Even Epic seems completely poor on this, so we didn't
cosider it for further use.

I'm still dreaming of an Emacs implementation to a docbook-equivalent of
AucTeX+RefTeX (maybe xsymbol also). Many things are addressed already by
some packages (psgml, XAE, xsltproc etc.) but not in such a consistent
manner.

Btw. did somebody consider to write a BibTeX-style useable with docbook?
Post-processing will probably be needed, though.
