Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: Re: Bibliography management/BibTex equivalent

Can't remember whether you get a bibtex processing | error, or whether they are just ignored. That's why I find the | "cooked" entries so scary - another example of procedural markup | creeping in as a convenience. That's all fine if your bibliography | entries never ever have to confirm with a different style, but if you | publish articles at conferences or in journals, it's bound to happen. Right. The 'cooked' style is definitely a convenience and if you republish articles in different journals it's clearly "a bad thing." I think what's needed here is the equivalent of a BibTeX for DocBook. That is, something that takes biblioentry's and a style and produces bibliomixed's. I think that's a lot saner than trying to get the stylesheets to do it all. Be seeing you, norm -- Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> | So, are you working on finding http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ | that bug now, or are you leaving Chair, DocBook Technical Committee | it until later? Yes.
