Subject: RE: DOCBOOK-APPS: RE: Colwidth attribute of colspec not processed ?
I noticed you mentioned instant saxon -- this is compiled as a windows executable and always runs against the Microsoft VM installed on the machine (regardless of the Sun JRE installed). From the saxon site: ----- Note that Saxon performs considerably better using Sun JDK 1.3 than using the Microsoft Java VM, so for production use, the full product should be downloaded. From version 7.0 onwards, Instant Saxon is no longer available, because Saxon now requires JDK 1.2 or later. ---- You can get the full version 6.5.1 (the recommended version) from http://saxon.sourceforge.net/#F6.5.1 Then (assuming the jars are in your classpath) you can run the processor with java com.icl.saxon.StyleSheet which should get you started. C:\>java -version java version "1.4.0" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode) I'm still getting the same error... I would strongly suggest getting the latest from Sun and installing it. Go to http://java.sun.com/ and download the Java Runtime Edition version 1.4.0. They have a good version for Win2K that I've been using without this sort of problem Jeff Beal Ansys, Inc.
