Subject: RE: DOCBOOK-APPS: Any CMSs that use DocBook?

Actually, both Arbortext's EPIC and Softquad XMetal come with DocBook.

Arbortext has an "application" (a set of customizations) written
specifically for DocBook users that can be purchased along with the EPIC
editor.

As far as CMS goes, I don't know of any that will just "handle" DocBook out
of the box.

The concept of a CMS has been so overly used (and abused) by software
vendors, I would count on having to integrate a DocBook "awareness" into any
CMS you invest in.

However, I do think there was an app developed by Mandrake that would handle
DocBook called Borges, but it is beta, and I haven't seen (or missed)
postings by anyone outside of Mandrake implementing it.

Hope this helps,

Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: Any CMSs that use DocBook?

Hello all.

I'm looking for a Content Management System specifically for accepting and
archiving books and essays, and I'd really like for the CMS to use DocBook.
Are there any good CMSs out there that store their content in DocBook and
that use a good XML editor to edit those DocBook files?

Thanks.
