Silly me I checked the wrong file $@*x!.

Anyway after making sure that I am checking the correct file the ending
result is <fo:external-graphic> is not there. I tried with

xsltproc --version
Using libxml 20428, libxslt 10023 and libexslt 714
xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20427, libxslt 10023 and libexslt 714
libxslt 10023 was compiled against libxml 20427
libexslt 714 was compiled against libxml 20427

SAXON 6.5.2 from Michael Kay

Docbook XSL StyleSheets 1.58.1 tried also 1.57.0
Docbook XML 4.2

I am using Catalog Resolver org.apache.xml.resolver.tools

How can I find where the problem comes from since it is working for you
I must have something weird somewhere along the settings. (strange as
when I remove that specific customization I have the figures back)
