Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: Re: Chunk.xsl problem with <informaltable>; no <p></p>in HTML output
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 / Kraa de Simon <Simon.de.Kraa@services.fujitsu.com> was heard to say: | Some of our xml documents are generated automatically and all elements are | on ONE single line. | | When I process the following input using chunk.xsl I do NOT get a "<p></p>" | between the tables in the output. The stylesheets are trying to "clean up" the generated HTML. Since tables aren't allowed inside paragraphs in HTML, they're moved out of the para. Since the paragraph is now completely empty, it's thrown away. If you set html.cleanup=0 you'll get more literal markup. But the real answer here is probably CSS or something. Using empty paragraphs for spacing is really relying on browser artifacts.
