Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: Using Framemaker 7 to generate Docbook source

Hi,

I'm new to Docbook. Until recently I've been using Framemaker 5.5 to write
software documentation. We've recently purchased Framemaker 7, partly on the
basis that it supported XML, and I'd like to use it to start producing
Docbook source - so that I can output different formats from a single
source, and so that non-Framemaker people (e.g. developers) can access the
source.

I've read up on Docbook, but I can't find any Docbook documentation that
refers to Framemaker. Likewise, Framemaker 7 comes with nothing to help me
get started creating Docbook files. It almost seems like it would be easier
to write Docbook in a text editor - but I don't want to give up on
Framemaker (not yet anyhow).

Can anyone out there help? Does anyone have any experience of using
Framemaker 7 for generating XML Docbook? Are there any books/websites on
Framemaker for Docbook? Adobe has marketed Framemaker 7 on the back of XML,
but hasn't put much effort into flattening the learning curve (which seems
precipitously steep right now).

If anyone can offer any help, and/or point me in the right direction, I'd be
very grateful.
