| latest (1.4.1-02) jdk, and the latest FOP, 0.20.5rc2.  so what
| does this imply?  and can i work around it?

First, try rebuilding with passivetex.extensions=0, that may fix the problem.
If it doesn't, post the new errors, I guess.
