Subject: Adding processing instructions without using PIs
Hi all, We are using a system that combines several xml files into a larger xml file that is then processed with XEP or Saxon, depending on the output. My need for the pdf output (using docbook-xsl-1.64.1 and XEP 3.8.3) is to tell the processor to keep two paragraphs together and in some tables that the thead entries should be rotated by 90 degrees. Also in some tables I want to have certain tbody entries with a background color. The table requirements should also apply to my HTML Help (using docbook-xsl-1.65.1 and Instant Saxon version 6.5.3). I know how to do this with PIs, but our system drops all PIs from the combined xml file, so that is not an option. What other approaches would you suggest?
