Re: [docbook-apps] footnote symbol formatting in fo output

In case others have a similar problem, this issue  was solved by a  
helpful suggestion from Bob Stayton.  The remark and footnote elements  
must be on the same line as the author's last name:

<surname>Eisenmann<remark><footnote>

(the XML interprets a line break as a space)
