Because I need to minimize the tools I > have to learn & use. It really depends what your needs are. A little know secret is that Word does a really good job importing clean HTML/CSS. For example, it maps most common HTML tags to its internal style system. If you have <p class="epigraph"> Word will map that to a style called "epigraph" with formatting definitions drawn from your CSS. I used this approach to submit my book manuscript to a publisher recently that had asked for "Word" files, and they were happy enough with it. The manuscript was mostly text though. So WordML is certainly doable (and there is at least one early version of db2wordml stylesheets online somewhere) but may be more hassle than it's worth. Bruce
