Not exactly. The blank line between "Bruno Haible" and "Author."
is an artifact of your customization layer, not something produced
by the stock stylesheets.

Use the latest snapshot. I checked in a change that should give
you what you want without you needing to make any change to your
XML source or customization layer.

Because HTML output from the DocBook XSL stylesheets is not
intended to reproduce the look of man pages.
