Hi Chris,
If I understand you correctly, you are fixing problems you find in the 
stylesheets by modifying the original stylesheet distribution files. If 
that is the case, I would recommend that you change your practice and 
create a customization layer instead.  That lets you leave the original 
files alone and just track your changes.  See this reference:
