Hi, The problem is the mismatch in targetdoc. In the document: <olink targetdoc="book" targetptr="synop"></olink> In the olinkdb.xml file: <document targetdoc="chapter1"> That should be: <document targetdoc="book"> The id attribute on the book element is not automatically used as the targetdoc for a document. That's because id values are not necessarily unique between documents, and targetdoc values must be unique between documents.
