[Moving this over to the docbook-apps mailing list where stylesheet issues are discussed] Hi, The $sequence param is not used in the setup of pagemasters, only when defining static areas inside a page sequence. For example, in the template with mode="running.head.mode" there are several fo:static-content elements created, one for each region for the different simple page masters, each of which has its $sequence param set to a value specific to its location in the fo:page-sequence-master. We would need more details to understand how you are using the $sequence param.
