Answering myself: I found the solution, on line 92 of "autoidx.xsl"(template "generate-basic-index"):

  <div class="index">
--> <xsl:if test="$others and ($type = '' or count($others[@type = $type]) > 0)">
      <div class="indexdiv">
      ...
