You could look at the Antenna House Regression Testing System (https://www.antennahouse.com/antenna1/antenna-house-regression-testing-system/). It can tell you which PDFs have changed and where.

Inserting build numbers or some similar ID from the CI environment into the PDF metadata would also help.
