Subject: Re: [docbook-apps] DocBook XSL 1.79.2 released

Good questions ;-)
I downloaded the file "docbook-xsl-nons-1.79.2.zip" from https://github.com/docbook/xslt10-stylesheets/releases
I have a template that pulls the docbook xsl version ($VERSION) variable out and displays it (along with other info).
    <xsl:text>DocBook XSL VERSION is: </xsl:text>
    <xsl:value-of select="$VERSION"/> <xsl:text>
    <xsl:text>XSLT Version: </xsl:text> <xsl:value-of select="system-property( 'xsl:version' ) "/>
    <xsl:text>   XSLT Processor: </xsl:text> <xsl:value-of select="system-property( 'xsl:vendor' ) "/>
This $VERSION is coming from the distribution. It looks like it is from VERSION.xsl:
<xsl:param name="VERSION" select="string(document('')//fm:Version[1])"/>
and  then fm:version is set

Same question: in what location do you see that value of $VERSION ? (And
are you sure you are looking at package files from the 1.79.2 release,
not a more recent snapshot build ?)
